There's a couple of threads on this. I think if you can get the grille off, you can activate the latch manually with a screwdriver. Is it snapped at the lever end, or the bonnet end? If it's just broken out of your lever, you can probably grab the cable with a set of plyers and tug while someone holds the front of the bonnet down. Chances are the cable hasn't actually broken, and has just come loose at one end.

I should really read up on this in more detail, 'cause my cable's about a foot longer than stock. I figure it's got about a month left in it.

is the cable actally snapped? is the lever totally loose and floppy or it just won't release the bonnet?
if it feels like theres something there still, try getting someone to apply pressure on the front of the bonnet as you pull on the release.
if its snapped, and if your willing to sacrifice your front grill you can pull it out, its got three screw at the top and three plastic legs which go into the bar, you will be able to get to the latch part. when you remove the grill, looking upwards through the hole, there will be a hole in the centre of the strengthener/ where the bonnet locks to, you should be able to get a flat blade screw driver in there and unscrew the latch part that sits on the bonnet itself, it will taak a bit of effort to undo because there is a lock nut which sits close to the bonnet which you won't be able to undo first.
another option would be to take it to a smash repairers and see if they got any ideas.
Soon to be back on the road, Turbo VG.

where bouts in melb are ya man???

i had the same thing happen to me, i could help ya get it open

u should beable to remove the screws on the grill from under the bumper for the legs

and just remove the screws on the top with a thin screwdriver

from there u gotta jack the latch, its complicated and a genuine pain in the ass

Job is so much easier with a torch, you can see the latch that you have to push towards the drivers side of the car.. Takes seconds..
