need new rear lights

hey guys, renewed my rego, but my mechanic said i need enw rear lights, cos thier faded to bright white!. umm he either said get new lights, or paint the inside of it, i would rather ahve new light covers, but my parentsa said paint it, cos they said its cheaper, obvisously it would, but do u reckon it would look sh!T?

new looks alot better and u can pick them up pretty cheaply on ebay. depends on budget.

i always find tinting the lens red causes dark lines that look like hairpin cracks.
