Well as you all may know, My motors ****ed...

See attached pics.....

Pic 1 shows how she lookd when i jacked it up

Pic 2 & 3 shows the piece of cast the yellow arrow was pointing to.

Pic 4 shows the whole in the sump the blue arrow was pointing too

Pic 5 shows the whole in the side of the block

This is the 2nd Buick V6 i've ever heard/seen of thats thrown a conrod.

the v6 must of had hard life. i never seen v6 to that b4

Seen that b4 has it droped the rod or has it snapped the crank as that was a commen fault in em if ya reved them to much in stock form that is.

Ecotec On map instead of maf setup = 120rwkw Stock... + Extractors & zorst = 130rwkw approx... 30rwkw more fun than a Buick v6

ive seen that happen close up before but ont on a v6.it was on a nissan pulsar 4 cyl. and it looked mad when it happened. the rod in and out of the block
by the way howd you do that?

Tell us you were flat stick in first or second and bang clater clater.
Done it to the EH stocky we had - it didnt like the triple SU's and being upside down with the foot nailed to the floor. Still drove it on the trailer but made a hell of a racket.

Actually happend on start up last night. Sounded ****ed up then real rattly then BOOM!

thats gotta hurt, especially as you weren't doing anything silly when it happened. i've always thought the buick bottom end was fairly stout

Heard of it quite a few times. First engine i had was gonna throw a rod or siexe up or sumthin, whacked in anutha donk before it happened though. Sounded horrible, was just constantly knocking.. Started off only doing it on start up, and progressivley got worse to the point that you could here me comin a mile away! Changed the oil in it week before i ditched the engine, and the oil looked like metallic paint!

DAMN! Must have felt like a bomb going off in the engine bay when that let go. That's a hell of a chunk to have blown off the side of the block.

Motor $500 + Alternator + Starter motor + Power steering resevoir + steel Fuel lines + Fanbelt + Oil + Filter + VS Headers + VS Y piece + VS catback Live axel system + coolant temp sensor adaptor + VS Heater hoses + 5ltr kickdown cable + Upper VS radiator hose

Whole days work! Morning til Evening... Saturday 7th October hopefully

AND!

I have an m90 To use..... Hmmmmmm *Cue evil laugh* Muahahahahahaha! *
Prob wont get put on til xmas time, needa find a kit/gas research setup for a blower + duel fuel.

can you come back and tell me what you had to do to change to a ecotec in your vn ive just fitted a series 2 vr motor to our vn could look at useing a ecotec vs if notto hard
