    Default DIY window tinting?

I have been contemplating the last week about getting my windows tinted before i make the move up to qld, out of curiosity i checked out ebay to see how much this stuff costs. I noticed you can get the DIY kit fairly cheaply but i have seen a lot of DIY jobs around with the bubbles all through it and you just think "why would ya"... so who has done a good DIY job and seriously how hard is it?.

Just pay tint professor or anybody the $250 and get a life-time warranty.

Man it's not that hard, all you need is a knife and a spray bottle with soapy water. Spray the water on the glass before you apply the tint so you can move it around when its on. When you do the doors wind the windows down, pull the window rubber out - doesn't have to be all the way, then wind them almost all the way up, so you can tint right to the edges. You can get the rolls for $30.

Ok, I think that doing this yourself depends on the person and how skillfull they are. If you could contact(sticky clear film) your school backs fine back in the day, then give it a go. Otherwise I'd say let the professionals do it.

Want an advice? My Advice is - FORGET it, its not worth the monies worth, you're better off getting it done by professionals as they do know what they're doing plus there is warranty on them and its a lot of bother doing it. Also you have to clean the windows perfectly and have small amount of mistakes otherwise you'll have to start all over again, if you have sedan, back window is the worst part.

IMO get it done professionaly, its not worth the hassel of doing it yourself. i had mine done on friday, 35% of $300, it was a bit more cuz they had to take the old stuff off. its worth getting it done properly
