ball joints

Please help front strut drivers side needs replacing have taken caliper off and tie rod plus stabliser can,t split ball joint from lower have tried oil ,hammer went and bought ball joint remover tryed everything i can think of with out stuffing up as will put back together and drive with stuffed one if have too could some one urgently help me once free i will have no problem new strut is waitng is it possible to change while keeping ball joint on as strut is insert????

Hey there, It makes it easier for us to help if we can understand you(full stops). One of my strut was in the same position but myne was out of the car so I took it to a mechanic and he belted it to the shithouse with a big hammer. After about 10 hits it come free. But in your case if its still on the car, then its going to be much harder to get it out. Unless its up on a hoist...
