    Default starting the old vn

hey everybody i need help to find out a problem.

A couple of weeks ago my car would start perfectly but then every time i would stop it and then start it again it would take longer and longer to kick over than before. then it eventually tried to kick over for atleast 45 seconds before it just stopped kicking over and started making a ticking noise. i got the starter motor fixed and it once agin started perfectly. but now it is starting to take longer and longer to kick over again every time i stop and start it again.but if i leave it overnight it will just start perfect again in the morning before doing the same thing every time i stopped and started it again. then last week it done the same thing where it tried to kick over for 45 seconds before giving up and made the clicking sound. the bloke who fixed the starter motor came and had a look.after trying to jump start it and doing other stuff he said the motor was seized and just cranked it over with shifter. he said it might have something to do with my engine immobiliser( it is a remote one) and parts in it heating and expanding but he doesnt know.

has this happened to neone else it is reaally anoying because sometimes it feels like i might only have say 5 starts before it will conk out in one day then it is just fine the next.

2nd or 3rd different auto electrican is the best "2nd" opinion!
I would do that if i were you, if the 2nd one said different story, you gotta ask and find out why. If you don't have much to spend, get $15 battery (look at the condition of the battery first 'newish' look is the best) from Pick a Part and give it a go.

My SS did the same thing when i got it. Really lazy to kick over, but it always would. However, if I had some temp into the engine, it would act as resistance and make it hard to start. I load tested my batt at work, the CCA's were way down, so I slapped a new bastard in there and no dramas. I doubt it would be a starter relay as the motor is winding over isnt it? Are you sure its not a fuel or spark issue at all? Your batt may have a dropped cell or something too.

Your starting problem is probly the Crank Angle Sensor(CAS). Dont know about the tick though. read this webpage:

i'd say the battery, possibly the reason it's harder to start when hot is because as the starter motor is heated it creates more resistance in the electrical windings of the starter which in turn requires more amps to turn it over, which if you have a sick battery will cause it to turn over slower and ssssslower and ssssssssssssslower etc

$55 from Bursons - not trades price but below trades price, it was mates price.
Since you know the price, just go to Bursons and beg em to drop price down big time.
