Anyone played 'round with an MSD type ignition systems at all? If so, whats the best?

Try this.

get the MSD 6al (soft touch rev limiter) with say the MSD Blaster 2 coil, some good leads and plugs. wiring is quiet simple, 2 wires to the battery(red & black 12 gauge), 2 wires to the coil(orange & black), 1 switched +12v wire (ignition, red) and 1 trigger (white) wire to fire it. and there is a tach output on the MSD, i'm not sure if you need a tach adaptor for your model. wire it up and if the tacho doesn't work then you need to get the MSD tacho adaptor. simple
