Default what do you love most about your VN

hey guys, i've had this idea the other day to start a thread to find out what people really like about their vn's. it can be anything about VN's in general or about ur personal vn. i was sitting in my car and i was thinking about how awesome vn's are. but its a bit hard to discuss with my other friends seeing as they drive vl's or sadly not even a holden.

ill kick it off then shall i.

well first of all i love the look. i think it looks tough yet elegant if you know what i mean. i love how my car cam ewith everything i need to start off as my first car and how i wouldnt want any other car. i love how i can sit in my car and know how im sitting in a work of engineering masterpiece.

    cheers
    guys

My VN is the second one i have had. The first one being a lexen was really a puss bucket with more rust than in a wreckers yard.

My current VN is a 5 speed looks sweet, already lowered, sounds tough (no cat back :P) and has a nice interior.

I love the look of the VN's in white and maroon and my first favorite car was my mates SS Group A. Natrually it grew from there with the addition of my mums 5 speed VN then i got my current 5 speed VN.

Its just the looks, the styling and the workmanship.

VNs going forever, I've came across so far 4 of them over 450,000 kms on clock on original engines - 3 of them were series 1 and other one was series 2. (only once saw one that had 650,000 kms but on second engine) That what I like about VNs. Oh yeah other thing, parts are cheap and very easily accessable.

I loved the style of the VN/VP before I was even old enough to know what one was.

Now that I own one, I love the comfort that if anything goes wrong, I know it can be easily fixed. I love the feeling of power and command it gives you on the road, and I love how by the time you've told it to get up and go, it's already got up and went

I love the straight rear guard edge, unique and gangsta. I like the lines and overall shape of the ol' VN.

i passed up a VS S pack for my calais................. had 8k when i brought mine... to be honost.. the vn stock is a ugly car, a ugly car with great potential, swap over the bumpers+add skirts, lower it, slap some rims on it and tint the windows and you have yourself one sexy car, most annoying thing is the height of them

over all i love how its soo cheap to fix and easy to work on, i spent $500 on my bodykit,

i agree with you all and like the style (all of them). i personally like exec's but with coded bumpers and another thing i like is the engine, its not the softest motor and i like that, i luv to feel my engine work and know i have something under my hood rather then a quiet engine.. just what i like but VN POWEEEEEEER! hahaha

    Default The Vp

I think the VP is a way better looking vehicle, for starters, the standard front end doesn't look as though it has been sucked under the car, the front blinkers wrap right around the sides, I replaced the square amber side blinkers with the clear oval ones on mine, VN's don't have that option. The rear number plate light is concealed, and the standard rear bumper looks somewhat like it has an added skirt. And the extra power, well, that goes without saying..
    Thanks Holden, for these improvements.

a couple of things i like are the straight edge over the back wheels cos they look so hot when they are lowered also i like the look of the dash the way it sorta sticks out around the steering wheel and another thing with the vq's(which is why i bought 1) is the wrap around back window which i think looks so damn sexy

The number 1 thing I love about my VN is that (for the most part) it's so easy to work on. There's no need to pay anyone to do the work for me, everything is fairly easy to get at with a good tool-box and a bit of know-how.

There's a whole lot of other things, but that's the number 1

yup easy to work on, they have that low down pull (Im a red light warrior ) I have always had a soft spot for the VN's. VP's however.... I dont like the elongated bumpers & garnish, indicators etc... why stretch all those parts out?? I can have a picnic on the rear bumper

Was told last night how much VN's suit me lol Id love a Calais, & Im told I should get an SS as it would really suit me lol.... Id be scared of even more speeding fines!!! lol

VN Series 2.... best of both IMO

I like the motor in my VP, the quality in the 5 liter far surpasses the actual car itself. The rest of the car, hmmm well, the motors good , and like mouce said there's not a single part except maybe the internals of the auto that you couldn't easily spanner yourself

On VN as a whole, I love the space of the interior. But yet, it doesn't feel like your driving a tank.....I just like the way they look, and plus parts are easy to get!

But my personal VN, I love how low km's she has, and how good condition she is, inside and out.

Gotta say though, I'm with Countess on this one. As far as VN vs. VP anyway. But I still like the VP.

I like that they're easy and cheap to work on. And I love the look of the VN SS. One thing i'm not keen on is the wiper controls. I'd much rather have a stalk on the column to control them than the setup they have. And having the indicators on the right hand side took a bit of getting used to for me. For the first few weeks I had the car, I sometimes indicated when I wanted to put the wipers on!!

Yeah! Most european cars have the stalks that way round. Even the Mazdas have their indicators on the left of the column in England (where I lived until recently). I'm ok now though and i'd much rather have the VN than some 1.6 litre 4 pot buzzbox though!!

Luckily i still passed otherwise I wasnt going to happy camper
