Question Will 235's fit my VN?

It's comming up to tyre change time and i was thinking of getting some Sumitomo HRT's ?? but i dont know if the 235's will clear the lips and inner guard. The rims i have are ROH RT's (16x7) and are on a VNSII with live axle. If anyone can help me out that'd be appritiated.
Tyre: 225x45xR16 (load and speed rating 93V)

    Cheers
Please PM me if you know of any L67's complete with loom and ECU are for sale

Should fit like a dream, since you have people running around with 245x17.

Yeah should be fine man... depends how low your car is tho.

With superlows no problems. Might want your guards rolled though.

On a 6 or 7 inch rim? Even if its a 235 is abit big.
I run a 235 on a 18x8 with no dramas. Thats with FE2 plus 1" lower, but its close (gaurds are getting rolled soon).

235's will scrape alot with a IRS car with live axel wheels on it :| but they fit on a live axel car with the gaurds all original (yay cause rolled gaurds are spaz and makes hiding spots for dirt and rust). That's about as big as you can go and still be sure of having full suspension travel without losing paint/rubber

235 is perfectly fine at any height on any commodore you'll post about in this section.

wether its 6" 6.5" or 7" wide (at 7" you've probably got 17's on it anyway and you shouldnt have anything LESS than 245 on a 17")

the J6 rim will handle anything from 195 to 235 without any dramas of fitment or guard intrusion on lowered vehicles.

i have seen a 245 on a 15" rim before in my work, but i cant urge it eonugh that this isnt done. at 245, the lip is seriously grabbing onto a thin percentage of rim and a medium tyre impact (too fast over speedbumps or a gutter collision) could cause an explosive decompression.

short answer - yes, in fact, its for the best you do it. wider foot print = more rubber on the road and thats a GOOD thing.
    never late in a 3 0 .. uhhh ... intercooled turbo

yes i drive an mx6 turbo ... its probably quicker than yours.

235's wont fit on a VP with IRS with the normal offset 17x8 inch rims, I've tried it and it rubs pretty nicely on the inner guards (enough to destroy the tyre). But they do fit fine on my VN

Thats due to the lame VP IRS. Good luck finding much of any rim bigger then a 16" that will fit on without some mods.

You need the VS hubzzzzz to make it take the normal wheels, But I rather 15 inch wheels anyway so it's no hurry for me

I have two wheels with 235's with a slightly thinner side wall that do fit but man, theres only half a fingers room. It would probably still rub if you really gave the car a flogging around a corner

225's and Lovells Ultralows scraped like hell on my VN WITH rolled guards.
