    Default the usual :P

alright ive got a s2 91 vn and it has just had the coil pack and dfi replced (thanks mat) anyway the reason they were replaced is cause when the car did about 2 hours of drive time (even stopping for a lil) then sitting in a bit of traffic it idled like a pig and then died now wasnt hot enough till yesterday but even with the new pack and dfi it died again im guessing CAS but can anyone confirm or give a better insight to why my car continues to hate me :P

    cheers ppls

all roads lead to CAS im afraid.

Be aware when buying a replacement CAS that there are two types.

asked another few mates and ive been lead to belive now that it could be thermo fan so im going to ask around about pros and cons of bypassing it they said theres no hassle with doing so but id rather get some proper tech advice b4 attempting to bypass something

fuel pump done 3 months if not less

cas done new yrs with bottom end rebuild

but from what ive been told as well CAS if theres a prob would complety stop the car from ticking over not let it idle like a pig and die

Don't go by when the fuel pump was last replaced. Turns out thats what was wrong with my white VN, and the fuel pump had last been done in under 3 months.

But, of course, I debated it, "coz it was only just done" and replaced the CAS, coil packs and DFI module. That made no difference, so I gave up, till it decided to run after a guy kicked the bottom of the fuel tank or something, and by then it had 2 days left of rego.

So yeah, get the fuel pump checked regardless of when it was last replaced.

dont talk to me about starter motors.............ive been through 3 in 3 months, 1 of them was nice enough to gut my ringgear, its not a hard job, if it needs replacing then give me a call and ill come over and help ya man...

try cranking it over and get someone to whack the starter with a hammer, also check the spade terminal on the starter motor, sounds silly but mine came off when i was in gelong
