VR Cluster Into VN

Hey guys this may've already been discussed but will a vr l2 cluster plug straight into a vn?

No, it won't. The thin printed circuit boards that are on the back of the clusters are different, and some of the workings of the guages are different too. I'm not sure if you could swap the PCB's over to get the VR one to work in your car though.

i installed a vs cluster into my vn 5spd when i had it all you need to do is transplant everything from the vr/vs cluster onto the circuit board of the vn cluster basically dissasemble both clusters pull the tacho out the speedo and the fuel/temp gauge off and they will fit straight into the vn backing, from what i remember theres screws on the back of the cluster that makes contact and holds the internals in place

I was lazy and just swapped the dial faces over!

seems more effort to swap the dial faces than the whole mechanism specially considering most people only have level one clusters on vn's
