I just took delivery of my VP,
I will have to get 2 new remotes, they did have one, so how hard is it to remove parts of the dash to get to the module to get the code ? the alarm place is quoting $100 + $80 for the remotes.
fuel gauge is wonky, it barely moved when i fill the tank to the max, only when going for a long drive of about 50mins it still didnt move, it only move when going around a couple of tight corners, ideas ?
other than that the only thing i have to fix is the power mirrors
im happy
i can put the XF out to parsture now
Most VN/P fuel gaugers do that you need to give it swift tap to get it moving they can get really sticky at times, you cant get the code your self for the alarm, depending on what type of alarm you llahve to take it to holden or a alarm place.
Thats all right, thats ok, I drive a commodore anyway!!!!
Yep my gauge only worked when I hit a bump with >half a tank of fuel.
The best way to do this is not by tapping the plastic cluster shield, as this usually does not work and makes it dirty and damaged - instead you should hit the actual dash board to the above left of the gauge. Needle should fly up straight awayOriginally Posted by Salem

Sorry can't help with the remotes...mine are with an alarm
After reading someones post about VS mirror switch fitting a VP....I tested it the other day...I did like my VS better in this regard. A minor cut and it would have been fine, so I went to Holden to get a price...wait for it...$110 just for the switch!Wreckers here I come
