Default Post km's/per tank for your Straight or duel fuel VN

Simply post how many k's you get to a tank whether you have straight gas or duel fuel. Also post any annoyances you have from whichever you have or any problems you've had.

i get 420kms out of an 80ltr tank in my 5ltr high way driving and about 200kms of city driving(giving it a flogin)
the only prob i have with the lpg is when you punch it, it gets to about 4000rpm and looses power alltogether but thats not all the time
i think its leaning off when i hits high reves
im dyno tuning it on fir hopefully
    btw i got dual fuel
Stato on the inside, berlina on the out side,5ltr under the bonnet, stockies all round...........that thing has to be a sleeper

Its kind of funny tho when you have a 55L tank and the bowser at the servo says you put in 60 litres... farken crooks.

if you find that sort of stuff is happening. dob them in. i know a bloke who was getting ripped with petrol so he got a jerry can full and took it home and messured it. he found that he payed for 2 litres more over 20 litres. he went back to the servo and made them get there pump re-calibrated. i know ya can't do that with gas but servo's like that should be dobbed in.
i think a lot of servo's these days are picking up quite a few $$$ here and there...

I did the calculations on my fuel consumption. I average between 12.5l - 13.5l per 100kms in my VP S1 wagon, 68 litre tank, that would roughly equate to around 470-520kms per tank. Not bad really.

I've never run it below 1/3 though, not since I've had it.

i think u may find thats called fuel reserve mainly on calais but if i put 55 to 60 litres in my calais it pulls around 550 out a tank and around 500 in the city giving it a flogging but its real good straight ulp and a 6

I get about about 400km out of a 63litre tank(petrol) Ive got it to over 600 out of a tank when i drive it like a granny. But that was just a one week thing. Just wanted to see how good i could get fuel consumption. With the way i normaly drive it, im happy with 400. I think it being a manual also helps.

VN SI Auto Duel Fuel :

    65 litre LPG tank or so I'm told = 450 - 490km, 13.26 - 14.44 litres per 100kms
I have never run it empty and the most gas I have ever put in is 60.02 litres so the real figures would be slightly better.

$32.00 for 490km on gas, $53.90+ for the same distance on petrol at 1.10 per litre.

    Petrol: 550 - 620 per tank

i normally get about 470km for 50ltr of 91. V6 petrol only. thats a mix of city and highway driving. when i do short trips only it's about 400km for 50lts. it's got a 68 ltr tank but as the petrol gauge is dodgy i never use it and go by the distance travelled

Dunno how big Ruby's tank is, but last time I filled her up, and reset the k's, I got to a little over 500k's and had just under a quarter when I put more in her.

Why do you only have a 55L tank? What happened to the other 8L?

haha maybe i have a 63L tank dont know but i'm sure i was looking at something and it was 55L anyway that dosent matter because i dont use the tank size to work out consumption i use a more exact method that is 99.9% correct compared to the km/tank method which can vary too much for my likeing :P

just came back from visiting my misses grandparents in shepparton.. first long trip ever in my vn... i usually get 200k's per tank (10min city driving) today i filled up, one tank got me there and back and ive still got a 1/4 tank left. (63L tank).

did 432k's i could prabably squeeze a few more.. im happy with that.. i always thought my vn was stuffed.

The majority of the trip was at 110kph and the engine was revving at 2grand..

The funny thing, when my gauge is in the red.. i can only put 32L in before it clicks.. which means my gauge is reading wrong since ive actually still got over 30L in there which means i could probably get in the 500-600's.

    I'm on dual fuel, 5L
on the open road I get 13-14L/100Ks on petrol and 16-17L on gas

Around town it's about 18-19L/100 on petrol and 21-22L on gas
I'd rather push my Holden than drive a Ford
