    Default Mileage

Hey guys (and girls), just wondering what sort of average mileage you get on your cars. and whether its a 6 or 8.
My V6 auto seems to average 11.4L/100km in the city, but when cruising at 60 or 80 the instant usage on the trip computer will read between 5.5L/100km and 7.6L/100km depending on the road and the wind direction.

VN 5L auto wagon, does mostly mixed driving, pretty much half and half city/country. Lately it's been delivering 12.5ishL/100km consistently, but if the boot goes in a bit too much then it'll go up to 13.5.

mine used to do around 11L per 100km when i worked about 20 mins from home and it was combination city/motorway driving. now it's closer to 13-14l per 100km as it's only 5 mins from work and it hardly gets up to temp and it's all stop start stuff. V6, but now i've got the g-tech to play with i tend to use it. lots of loud pedal

Pity I can't pick two options:

    In town between 10-11
    Open road between 6-7

    12.5l - 13.5l per 100kms.
    80% City
    20% Hwy

Not bad figures for a 14 year old car.

    Ok, here's my method.

When I fill my tank, I divide the number of litres I put in to fill by 1% of the total distance travelled since the last fill. Use your odometer.

For example on tuesday I filled up with 35.76 litres and had travelled 277kms. The method would be:

    35.76 / 2.77 = 12.909 litres per 100 kms.

    Hope this helps.

My VP 5L gets a consistent 21L/100km in the city. Its that high because the average speed according to the trip computer is around 26-27km/hr.

On the highway i have seen it drop to an average of 10.4 L/100km for a 600km trip.

And i drive it every day in the city, which sux.

my brother use to have a vn a few years back. and he complained he had to get a new computer. i didn't know till the other day it was because it was tested and was he was told it was buggered. even though the car was still running. he got a new computer and he was getting 8 and 9 litres per 100 k's. so i don't know if there is anything in it or not???
i am thinking of putting another computer in mine as i can't get it to run as cheap as it use to..

    Default !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mileage H E L P !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Good Day All,
I am from Iraq and I drive a 2001 VX V6 Ecotech, so I've been reading these posts about fuel mileage and some people say they get 11 to 13 L/100k, Why do I get 23L/100k off city driving,
please I need your help to fix that, what do I need to fix or replace. plus the fuel price here sucks

    Will really appreciate your help.
