Default V6 Going out of my brain... wont run properly

    Hey guys

as some may know iv been having all sorts of problems with this new car.

it runs fine then it just dies, after trying to start it it gets going after 30 sec of cranking it splutters and jerks and idles like shit an then when i press the pedal it kinda dies down then revs up flat out and blows a shit load of black smoke and smells like fuel and it will run fine over approx 2500rpm then if i drop below that it will do the same thing chug chug black smoke and roooooom.....

Not getting any ECU codes. it done this last week and i went out 2 days later and it ran fine for a week never missed a beat and now its doing it again seems worse this time.

im worried to change coil packs and CAS and Altinators as its a expensive process of eliminaton.

can anyone shead some light onto this subject or want to lend me a Coil pack for a hour :P

    GOING INF#$%^&NSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! help!

your barking up the wrong tree all together,

replace fuel filter, if not fuel filter, th en look at fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail. if that still dont fix the problem, put a injector service threw it.

make sure each injector is firing (you will feel pulse in fingers) dotn worry about spark just check firing of injectors. check your air filter isnt cloged, and throw some carbie cleaner down the throat of the throttle body.

    cheers

To make black smoke you need fuel that hasn't been burned completely and since it takes along time to start, but then does start, it really sounds like a fuel problem and everything points at the regulator to me

Or leaking injectors and check that the injectors are hooked up to the right connector.

Makes Sense as to why no ecu codes, Might Go get a Filter tomorrow and a Regulator are they worth much??? then get some Injector cleaner as well, Do Regulators Intermitantly play up before they die????

If you mean that they are hooked up in the right order, that wouldnt matter on a VN as they arent sequential firing. They all fire at the same time.
Im not a complete idiot, some parts are still on backorder!

I had a very similar problem 2 days ago, after geting it to start (wasnt fun) it would idle ok for me then any hint of semi fast acceration she splutters then just about to conkout then bam she kick back in. Ran FINE over 2500RPM. The reason for my dramas, It was my faulty fuel regulator that was pushing 80PSI pressure instead of 40PSI. I would say you have the same problem. I got ripped off in the end tho, I had to get it fixzed asap and the guy I took it to (didnt know him) charged me $180 for the new regulator and $170 for the laybour!
