My vn brakes

just replaced front pads, had to remove calipers now lots of pedal travel ?

Pedal travel = air in lines somewhere. If you have put new pads in U would have had to push the pistons back in. Did any oil come out of the master cylinder? U had the top off when U push the pistions back in didn't U.

I had the same problem . . . left it overnight and it seems fine now . . .
I just put it down to being a 'first few stops' thing and decided to ignore the problem and hope it goes away.
It did.

it will most likley be air in the system.
also some of the new pads need to be bed in
to bed in brakes take the car out to a quiet road, sit at 60 and brake as normal to a stop. do it again but leave about a min of driving in between for the rotors to cool. do this about 5-6 times

I had the same thing when I done mine, I think it's because you've been playing with the piston and whne started it's gotta build pressure back up inside. I've never had to bleed my brakes after doing them and they've always worked fine afterwards.
if it were air in the lines it still would be spongey. I love doing brakes even had to redo hubby's as he forgot to make sure the spring on the brake pad was lined up lol

^^^You might not have had to do them, but you should bleed them at some point. Brake fluid is like pretty much every fluid in the car. It needs to be changed every now and then.
