    Exclamation Automatic Gears Slipping

Hey guys, Just got a query on my vn..

When driving along meerly cruising between gear changes, from 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd whatever...
Right between that shift you can hear the engine reving upwards for a split second..
Now its not a rev thats sending the engine to redline its just enougn for you to know its going to happen between shifts.

Ive been told it could be my convertor that may need changing..

So if anybody knows if this is the problem that would be awesome..

ps. What type of torque convertors should i be looking for if i need a new 1?

    Thanks

if not 1500rpm for stock replacement (correct me if im wrong)

yeah it'd be torque converter, my mate has a VR and it used to slip like hell, *foot %50 throttle and it'd slip outta gear*
    torque converter was rooted

Default I just thought it was normal!

My VP is my first auto transmission by choice, and I just assumed the slipping between gears was normal! One more thing to add to the checklist of jobs to do, great thread,
    Colin
