    Default Mags With Irs

Ok ppl whats the go with IRS and mags?

I went to get mags and tyres fitted to my vp (ssv) and they wreckon that because they run a different offset from the front to the rear i couldn't get anything to fit?

Apparently they run the same offset as BMW and i aint bying BMW rims that's for sure!

So whats the deal guy's can i just go and get a set of mags off standard suspension and fit to IRS or am i going to do damage?

Alot of people say they fit, maybe those cars allready have the VR/S bits? but anything bigger than a very thin 235 will rub on mine with standard offset 8 inch rims, no chance for 245's

Yeah they rub on the iner side of body. U Can get custom rims made to fit but they cost heaps.

VR arms n stuff is the easiest way to fix it...

I got mine sitting at home waiting to go in when i buy sum rims

Mine doesnt rub and I dont have VR/S bits. Why not get some spacers and longer studs? I know it is illegal, but if you had the spacers tack welded to the rim...........

Fit VR VS trailing arms use the VR VS discs and your calipers. They bolt straight up and will give you room to move.will be diong this myself in a couple of weeks on my VQ.If you want to use spacers(hub adaptors)then i have two for sale.

i just put on vr clubby rims cos the outer edge of the rims are bout an inch further out than the centre of the rim so they bolt on no probs and i got super lows in the back and i still got bout 20mm space between the tyre and the inner guard

i chose to put those rims so i didnt have to worry bout all the messing around with either spacers or vr/s bits, hope this helps

What do you mean much rubbing, ANY rubbing with 3 people in the back and doing a corner over a huge bump in the road at 220 is too much , there should be no rubbing ever. The car is just gay if it does (many apologies to the unlucky 10%) but really it is
