Hey there, sorry if this has been asked 1000 times before but I just can't find a conclusive answer on wheel offsets after doing a search.
I know BMW wheels share the same PCD as our Commodores, and the set of wheels I'm wanting to get have a 70mm centre bore so they'll fit on no worries - I'm just worried about the offset. The BMW wheels in question are 20mm offset (E39 5 series). I have a feeling this is a bit less offset than factory Commodore, but by how much?
Any help greatly appreciated
cheers

Great post for the offsets mate...
Also try to keep within 10mm for the wheel offset. Legally its either 12mm or 10mm to keep the offset legal and thats there for a reason...
FXST01 you rock mate. I've looked everywhere all day and havn't been able to find good information on it.
So I have a VP Berlina Series 2, in theory this should be 26mm + offset and the 20mm or so BMW rims should be within range.
1 more question - why is the offset on the Berlina so different to all the other models, the steel rims look just the same? Looks to me like it could possibly be a typo and is meant only for IRS cars?
yeah I just went out and measured my spare, definitely 43mm offset. Bummer, thanks all anycase, now I know for sure what I can go buy.
Glad the info helped, don't forget to tip the scales though ;-)
