Air Con

recently i found out that my air con aint working as its suppose to

when i turn the air con on the circle thing on the bottom right of the engine where the belt is doesnt spin but after 5seconds it does thats when the engine fan turns on, then after when the circle part again stops spining the engines fan turns off again,
and when it turns on again it seems like it gives gas so so weird.. dont know why this is happening friend (greenfoam) said it could be dodgy wires or probley f**kt up, if anyone had this problem can u please help me out

ok the curcile thing is a part of the compressor, called the clutch
how long dose it spin for?
the fan is suposed to turn on when the compressor/ ac is on

you mean when you bit the aircon switch it takes 5 seconds before the engine fan and compressor turn on, then the air con compressor and the fan turns off then they turn on again

when it tunrs off are you hitting the switch??
when you tun on your aircon the compressor should turn on and stay on, i'm pretty sure the fan comes on with the compressor so they should both stay on,
my guess is that there is a wire somewhere in the loom that is just hanging on, and it is acing then opening if you know what i mean.

the compressor dosnt stay on constantly other wise it would freeze the whole system.
it cuts in and out depending on temptures and pressurers in the system

when i turn the aircon on it only turns off and on every 5-10seconds and does that repeativly

yea bro the clutch thing spins for around 10-15seconds or bit longer around 20
yea the fan does turn on but then off again cause the clutch dont spin

so when ever the clutch thing spins thats when the engine fan turns on
i want it to stay on for the engine to cool down
when i was driving today the temp on the gauge meter allmost went over halfway i turned on the aircon and its like the car was stalling and it was that as like i said

sounds like the system is out of gas or one of the pressuer sensors have packed it in

oh actually i see whats wrong the engine fan doesnt stay on when the engines hot, the heat gauge was getting up to half again its stupid, and at summer im f++k_d if i dont do anything

pressure sensor?? seems like an electrical fault or something glocking it up :S

the engine fan wont stay on all the time, it only comes on when the engine heat goes above half way on the gauge and it only cools down till the gauge is just below half

oh then if thats like that, how come when i turn the air con. on the cylinder thing for the air conditioner turns off and on every 10 seconds

that would be because its either out of gas or one of the pressure switches is faulty
