    they arent bed in
take it for a drive down a long quiet street, drive at about 60 then apply the brakes like normal to almost a stop, do this about 5-6 times leaving about a min for the rotors to cool
Stato on the inside, berlina on the out side,5ltr under the bonnet, stockies all round...........that thing has to be a sleeper

Should bed the brakes in straight away so they dont glaze. Also check that you dont need to bleed the brakes.

sounds like the brakes need to be bled. I thought bedding the pads took like 300K's, is that only with new rotors?

Thats rotors mate. Pads you normally drive at 50-60km/h and stop with a fair bit of force (dont lock em up) around 6-7 times.

Whoops! Good point, I'd assumed he'd already done that as the bedding in procedure is usually included in the instructions in the box.

One of the benefits of doing it for a living I suppose. I like to read the instructions and the manual before doing anything I'm not real experienced with. Much harder to **** up that way, although last time I left half a coat hanger dangling under the vehicle, I'd been using it as a hook for the caliper and forgot the mongrel. Took me a few minutes to work out what the jingling noise from the back was, damned lucky it didn't get wrapped round something.
