What's the go with Chick's doing oil changes?

Just wondering how many gals are doing their oil changes in their commodores?
Did mine today and all is good so far and just wondering how many of you out there do this simple job of maintaining your car...and much cheaply also!

I do it all myself. Well, what I can do anyway. The basic maintenence of like oil changes, keeping all your fluids up, changing blown globes etc. isn't hard. And if a chick reckons she can't do it, well then she's just plain lazy!!

I'd rather do it myself, that way I know it's been done, and done properly.

I believe men and women should understand there cars, there are crooks out there who rip off people for simple repairs, it is pleasing to see gals doing services on there car...well done

If I met a girl who was even remotely interested in doing even basic maintenance on their car, I'd be so happy I'd cry. Earlier this year a female friend of mine blew up her N12 pulsar. She'd been running it dry of coolant and low on oil, head was so badly warped it was almost modern art. The last time the fluid levels had been checked was a year earlier by yours truly. The really scary bit is that this girl is in her third year of an engineering degree. So to all you girls out there who care about your cars, I salute you, I just wish there were more of you.

my EX girlfriends brother ran his N13 Pulsar dry and blew the entire block up needed a crate motor.......

my ex girlfriend dosnt care about her car, radiator is popped and pisses out coolant i told her 4000 times to get it fixed but shes stubborn and wont listen to me :P oh well ill just have the last laugh...

I love to learn how my car works, and what problems with your car maybe. It can save a lot of time and a lot of money. I'm always listening for changes in the way the motor runs, the way it changes gears, any strange sounds etc.

I see this happen a fair bit, and I refuse to be one of those chick that gets rorted everytime she steps into a mechanics. I walk in, play dumb, and when they start reeling off all the unnecissary, expensive items that my car "needs to have replaced". I wait till they're done, and then go.."Well, thats all good, but......." and then tell them what I know is NOT needed. It's rather amusing the looks you get, but hey..At least they aren't scamming me.

sad thing is its not only mechanics that take advantage of womens know how of cars. Theres car sales men that sell cars more expensive to women and the women take it because its a pretty colour. It would be awesome to see a girl point out eveything wrong to the sales man..

when i buy a car i send the missus to do the deal. she won't take anything untill she gets some sort of discount. she doesn't like to pay the sticker price on anything doesn't matter whether its cars, furniture, clothing, whatever! she knows how to strip an engine a well but she still makes me do her oil changes. good to see chicks that actually know something about there cars

Be it a fluid change or even checking the usuals. I even know a bunch of blokes that dont even do there own oil changes etc.

i got a flat tire on the way back from nsw and i had to change my flat tired in the dark and rain soo cold lol but i had to do it lol wasnt guna call someone from werribee to come do it for me

Yeh, I know guys that drive BMW & HSV's an shit, they just drive it, something goes wrong or they have a squeak, bang! off to the dealership...
They wont even touch the car, They look under a bonnet an have a stunned look on there face.

Only time My car's gone anywhere is Gearbox joint..... Never been to a mechanic apart from a roadworthy! I do all suspension/mechanical/running gear etc. Myself... Had my car just over 2years. I know my VN better than I know the back of my hand.

Chick that gets her hands dirty... Don't tease hahah sorry
