exhaust sounds better when engine heats up????

hey guys this morning i left my driveway and and my exhaust didnt sound as deep and loud as the night b4, then i stopped at the lights and looked at my temp and it was just below half way i took off on green and my exhaust sounded its loud old self again. Is it possible that your exhaust sounds better once the engine heats up?? any comments would be appreciated

With my car its louder at idle and take off when its cold.

Mines the same, the hotter it gets the better it sounds. But the note of mine seems to change all the time. Sometimes it will be deep and loud and other times it will be nice and smooth with a nice note.
