    Default Fuel problem

Its been a while, but the VN has started to develop a little problem (I think). I started it up the other day and had it idleing for about a minute then gave it a rev to take of and the rpm dropped down to about 200~300 obviously it was very rough (near dying) so i turned it off and started up again fine but same problem after a few seconds and it died. I thought i might be a little low on petrol so i got some can's a put about 10Ltrs in, it started up again fine and i left it to idle for a few minutes but as soon as i gave it a rev it died straight away...... Anyway I was getting the sh1ts by then so once again i started it up and straight away took it for a few laps round the block and it seem's fine now. Does this sound like a typical out of fuel situation or should i worry about the pump/regulator? I can still hear the pump running but I have to drive to work tonight so I guess I will know if it does it again.

    Thanks

Well i drove the car tonight to work and back and i didnt have any problems, usually i dont trust my fuel gauge and go by the k's i've done. Usually i can get around 650kms (68ltr tank) but the funny thing is i was trying that new Shell V-power, somehow I only got 550kms out of the tank compared to regular unleaded which is a bit odd.

not sure but i had a similar problem in my vr, it ended up being my fuel pump which i replaced and then i lost my liscence so my car sat around for a while, then when i got my liscence back i had to replace all the spark plugs because the fuel had corroded them or something, could be either of those to probs from what i know mate

Yeah i'm starting to think i was just about on a dry tank, God only knows how i made it home the day before...... but that still doesnt explain why it done it again after i put more petrol in it, can air enter the lines?? maybe that was it?

Oh well i'll worry about it if it happens again
