G'day everyone, havent been on in ages --theres some good reading thou :-)
Still got my vp - still going strong as ever - but it has a problem -takes quite a few times cranking over to start - and when it does start esp when hot - it blows out black (overfueling) smoke. now its idling roungh (up and down on rpm) Ive replaced the oxxy sensor & did the Harmonic balancer, the oxxy made it slightly better to begin with, i had another MAP sensor so throw that on.... Iam starting to think it could be
1 -- The IAC Valve?
2 -- Coil Modules?
Not to mention fuel economy isnt that crash hot either -- and thats even just taking it easy![]()
Any ideas what to attack next ?
Cheers Kev
Could be the temp sensor. Telling the computer to put more fuel in.
Have u done the leads/plugs?
