    Question Cutting Exhaust Tip!!!!!!!

    g'dai guys,
ive got a vp calais, with a stock exhaust, and the tip sticks out of the rear bumper 2 far, and im not plaining on buyin a exhaust, i was thinking of just cutting it 1-2inches shorter and then heating it and bending it in2 a dump pipe, i doin this as a asthetic thing, not tryin 2 get a different sound, wondering if any1 has done it or got sum pics
also its a stock black pipe, n wondering with a bit of sanding and polishing will it chrome up or is it black tha whole way through??

this is an example of tha stock zaust

go to super cheap and get one of those chrome dumpers, then cut your exaust off to where it needs to be then belt the new one on and tack weld it in place
Stato on the inside, berlina on the out side,5ltr under the bonnet, stockies all round...........that thing has to be a sleeper

If you heat it with the oxy, its not gonna be a nice bend. Get an exhaust place to use a pipe bender and do the job properly

Mine sticks out quite a long way too! I made the mistake of getting a chrome tip on it though, so I can't just chop it. Grrrrrrrrrrrr. IMO twin dump tips are the way forward.

just buy a chrome tip got one for $20.00... measure where u want the tip to sit and then cut the exhaust back with a angle grinder, slip on tip and either screw it in to the exhaust, clamp it or tack weld it.... took me 10mins to do...

b4 i put my chrome tip on, i looked at my stock exhaust , and if u look at it, it looks liek it goes past da rear bumper, but if u look at it sideways, u see it is jsut flush with the rear bumper!, its jsut an illusion cos da rear bumper slopes down u know
