car park madness

last weekend i went down to the super market, when i got there i found the only park close to the door (because im lazey) besige a 4 wheel drive
when i came out i found this.....no note no body waiting to apologise nothing

Very few people wait around or write a note if they do damage to your car. I have a big dent in one of my doors from some idiot. I parked far away so no one would park next to me!

That sucks! It really shits me when people just don't take enough care going into or pulling out of parking spaces. A woman in a 4x4 scraped down the side of my father in law's VY while I was sitting in it then pretended like it hadn't happened.

I've also seen quite a few drive-offs in car parks in the city recently. Anyway hope you get it sorted.

at my house, ive been backed into 3 times...

cracked headlight/indicator/****ed bonnet (after my i got side swiped)
cracked tail light
smashed in quarter panel + scratched bonnet

this is in the space of 6 months... people in my street need to learn to DRIVE.. ive left notes on my dash "if i catch who the idiot is who cant ****ing drive in this street then im going to ensure i return the favour"

despite that my car /brothers car gets egged about once a month/ other crap thrown at it... (i live on a bypass road)

i wouldnt park on the street if i didn thave to move my car at 6am when my parents left for work....

people are ****heads and yes usually the ones driving 4WD's
if i park next to a 4wd or something else i see parked shitly or even a mistreated car then ill take a photo of it with my phone and its rego plates... as insurance..... im just paranoid because ive got my car looking just how i like it.... bad luck man your not alone.. we chased down this stupid asain lady at my mates house who rear ended HARD his car ($6k worth of damage), we sprinted outta his house and chased the car getting the rego plates... took em to the cop shop along with pictures of his car (97 honda accord or something) and they were round at her house the next day and confirmed the damage :P

but that was lucky... and %99.9 of the time people are spineless pricks who cant take responsibility for their own actions/mistakes.....

it sucks that people have no sense to take care of others bellongings. had someone in 4x4 open there door into my car at the shopping mall one day, i went off at her, her son who was driving thought he'd then have a go at me untill i decide to get outa the car, all 6ft 6" 115kg of me, he backed off. looking at the 4x4 door however you could see that it happens often as there wasn't any paint left on the edge at all. bastards. i feel your pain. maybe set up a camera and catch someone out, then ping them for the reapir bill and get the other things fixed at the same time and make them pay for it all.

If I park next to a 4x4 or a car with a ding or 2 in it I try to remember to write down the rego of the car.

I've also had the odd insurance claim now and then when the person comes back to their car and the person who hit them left a note saying "some-one hit your car" so it looks like they are doing the right thing...

some **** pushed a trolley into the side of mine, i got the paint scratches off with polish and now the paint looks kinda weird, and theres still a smell dent..

Im pissed off about them not leaving details or anything, but i dont have to worry, i hope they believe in karma..there car will get ****ed up soon.

i had my hz ran into by an asian, she came out of a side street and hit me then said it was my fault, i said i was going to call the cops and she said dont and said it was her fault. after that i ran her insurance mob and they fixed my car

I had my car parked down at the movies and even tho i was a good 30-40cm in deeper than the curb (I was parked between a car and a lil divider island thing) sum tools managed to run the side of their car along the back of mine... and it wasn't even the car parked next to me. Good thing is that there was piss all damage done to my rear bumper and they left with a nice big green stripe up the side of their late model silver magna.

I've never had an incident happen to me in a car park, but i've seen happen plenty of times. Once I had a pen handy and wrote down the rego number of the car, and left it on the windscreen saying:

"I saw the ignorant person who hit your car, and drove away. I got the rego number for you. Nothing worse than having someone hit your car and not own up to it. So I've owned up for them on their behalf. The rego number of that vehicle is ..... "

If I hit someone, I'd stick around to let them know, I'm just that sort of person. But on the other hand, it's not that hard to watch where you're going when parking or leaving a car park. Some people are just gutless cowards.
