If it's meant to have it as an factory standard accessory, it could be possible that whoever bought your car off the showroom floor, could have had a special option where they asked for it to not be included.

I've seen it a fair few times. A friend of mine, her VP Berlina has power windows in the front and not the back. And according the paperwork she got when she bought it, said it was optioned to have that.

If something has something standard, then nobody is gonna say no I dont want it.

Alot of VP's had front power windows only, as do many other cars. It may have been standard on the Berlina or just optioned for the front as it would have been more expensive for the rear as well (single person, two person family or something...No need for rear power windows... Hell I never use mine).

It can most certainly be a possiblilty. You never what sort of weird things people will ask for when buying a car. Like, a guy I know bought a VS calais, brand new, and asked for no air con, no power windows and no power mirrors. It's not always a money issue. Just some people just don't want certain features. I just can't understand why he bought a Calais, if he was going to have half the features taken out, but oh well, each to their own I guess.

i've heard that the original factory alarm can be wholy unreliable. might be easier to fit an aftermarket alarm that meets insurance company standards and would give you remote entry as well

the emobiliser is in the glovebox, .. im not fussed about the alarm, but i was the keyless entry.. i think it has a reciever under the hood where the wiper is. and it has a green disconnected wire where the horn for alarm should be.. the sirvice manager at work, without looking at it rekns it has got one.. but id like to see a pic of someones reciever under the hood cause microcat just shows a random looking box..
