hey ppls
i lowered my car today with king superlows on an irs vp, the only thing is that the drop in the rear was disappointing. it dropped half of what i was expecting, more what i expected a low to be. ive heard of ppl going lower after seeing their cars with supers but ive seen pics of other cars with superlows and they are much lower.
what do you think the chances are of it settling in a dropped maybe another inch? does this happen?
thanks
Yeah same thing happend to me. I put super lows in rear and was very unhappy so i took them back out and got ultras. Im happy now. Not too low and not too high. I dono why some cars drop more then others. And they wont settle another inch. Maybe cm at the most.

Everybody seems to have unrealistic expectations when it comes to lowered springs... I dont understand why.
I wouldnt really call it BIG money. $200 for a set of springs. Some rear shocks (you dont need shortened front shocks), fit the rears yourself and get the fronts dont professionally. $500 fitted should cover it reasonably.
Remember that Superlows in the King Spring range are designed to be kept legal and practical for street use. You don't just lower a car to make it look dumped, you do it for the handling etc. as well.
If Superlows were as low as some of you expected, not only would they be rather illegal, but not the least bit practical on a street car and you would then start complaining about having to get an adjusable rear panhard rod, or rolling your guards etc... having to spend an extra few hundred dollars...
If I was any lower than superlow I would barely be able to drive the car. As it is I scrape on anything steep, my tires scrub if I go over a bump with people in the back, and there are plenty of shopping center car parks that are definately off limits (speed bumps).
I reckon supers look "right" too. If you want it dumped, go ultras, but if you want to be able to actually drive it, I'd recommend supers.
PS - if you are so worried about the price, install them yourself. I had no experience at all, and I did it with a guide I found on here.
Well i got ultras and its still not dumped. I have no idea why my car still sits pretty high on ultras. Rear tire is just under gaurd. I have no problems at all with them. Sometimes a speed bump a little too high but thats about it. I very rearly scrape the exhaust. I think the last time it scraped was when going on a road trip to the coast, with 3 people in back seat, and boot full of grog and camping stuff.

Just leave em a couple of weeks.
Springs do settle and will drop a touch more.
Driving a CURSED WH V6.
No where near another inch. Mine didnt even drop another cm.

All springs are different as to how much they settle as well.
Ultralows dont settle like superlows do, as the springs are smaller and stiffer. But superlows WONT drop an inch. Expect 15mm MAX. Mine in fact ave not dropped AT ALL.
I had superlows put in to get the rear to sit at 310mm (legal eye height is 305mm and i had to go through regency)... It was 312mm when I picked it up from the SA Suspension Centre, and to this day it still measures 310mm. The springs were put in last December, so almost a year now.
Lol, its guna be fun roaming around the Gold Coast next weekend with a boot full of luggage and 3 chicks in the car. Its guna look like ima be riding on ultras. Woot Woot, bring on the scrapage.
Yep, going down to pick up the girlfriend and her mates from schoolies. Leaving tmr morning and guna sneek into there room and stay the night.
