theres plenty of motors for sale.... i think snafflers got a pretty good cheap one for sale should check it out i the parts for sale section. rear main seals are a prick to do and cost more than another engine to fix sometimes

id say to do it your self but its not aneasy job even for some one like me (mechanic)
you could go and buy a second hand engine but you might but more trouble than youve already got
Stato on the inside, berlina on the out side,5ltr under the bonnet, stockies all round...........that thing has to be a sleeper

If you remove your engine and let them do it they might charge less for the rear main seal work?

dunno.... its a big job to do.. tailshaft out, box out, engine lifted off mounts, sump off, few end caps taken off and rope pulled thru....a good day atleast at $80ish an hour adds up... depends how many k's the motor has done or how hard its been driven.
i personally would just buy another shortblock and swap the heads and manifold over.
