    Default help with batronix and memcal

    i have just recived my batronix usb chip programmer i have the memcal apart and sitting inthe programmer , but the software that comes with the batronix programer wants to know the chip source or type what ever i have the bin i want to flash but i need to know the chip source first

    my chip says
    DELCO
    BAAM
    0265

    980
    1606 9300
    bldp9227 2068

    it will be some kind of 27c128 try reading it as one of the generic ones
    they used several different manufacturers
    you cant "flash" an eprom it needs to be erased with a UV light

    do a search & read greenfoams thread on programming, this outlines all the equipment needed to do it.
    its a specific UV wavelength needed to erase the eprom before programming

    can someone confirm the chipsource i cant see what a generaic one is there are a few with am in from of that set of numbers u gave me

    try setting the programmer to AMD 27C128 & read it off
    it should checksum as 0012FF1B if you have read it properly

    i think you should contact them for support, it looks like the software automatically updates the firmware in the programmer & is striking an error

    im not sure there is a button at the top that is or firmware updates
    i hope i didnt buy this thing and it dont work
    is there any other software that will work with this

    not sure, have you read the manual or an FAQ on the website for hints on the error message?

    hey can i get a different chip and use it? can i get a vr or vs chip and program that? i hear that there is some extra features using a vs chip? if true what kind of features

    if youre having problems best start with something simple until you get used to it. stick with the VN programs

    have a look at the bin in a hex editor, theres just a bit of an offset when compared to the $5D
