    Post Throttle Body..

What is involved in putting a bigger throttle body (Vn v8 65mm) into my v6 VP?
Is it a piece of piss and would I get any increase in power at all??

    Cheers.

no increase in power at all. it will feel more responsive, but youll get the same effect by just pushing your pedal down a bit more

yeah that about it as xcop5l said, unhook the sensors, vacum hoses and the throttle and kickdown cable, then its just two bolts to undo.
basically no improvement to power, just a touchier throttle response.

Rediculously easy and not a bad start if you're looking to do more mods later. On a stock engine it probably wont gain anything, and if it does it'll be right up the topend where it's absolutely no use.

Wont increase anything. I once removed the bellmouth from a mates VR V6 and he loved it. Telling me how much better it was but i know for a fact it was because of the amount of crap i removed from the T/B while doing it.
Doing alot of little things can make a difference, not one little thing.

I heard removing the bellmouth runs the rear cylinders rich??

I have a 75mm TB (got it free from my friends crash V8), feels touchy and my gears change earlier, dont have to rev it as much with normal driving. But as mentioned no power gain, some say 10kw, but i reckon thats crap.

The V8's run a 65mm TB, not 75mm. The biggest our throttle bodies can be bored to is 71mm.

The V8 ones tend to be perfect or near enough to it for some weird reason
