i guess you could but its not a button as such its just a contact switch, as in if you would want it to run neons, you'd have to hold the button on for the neons to work an when you let go of the buttons the neons would turn off. unless of course u change the mech behind it to make it a button as such. however im not sure how you'd go about doing that.

I addapted a cruise control on a stick to the Calais switch block many years ago. I had to change the switch from the hazard button (original from car) for the new one to work. Plus solder in some wires. Took a day or so to get working. So yes it can be done but you will need a basic know how on the switches to get it to work (and spare switches). U can pick up the switch blocks on Ebay for next to nothing to get the on/off switches.

If you pull it apart - the switches just slot in and twist half a turn to secure in place.

    have fun!!

Unlike the light switch which is click for on / click for off the Aerial up / down switches have to be held in to make aerial go up / down so any function you wanted via either of those switches would require switch to be held down for it to work

maybe put the switch fronts from the aerial up/down switches onto the actual switches used for the hazards or the dome light on/off etc. Then you get the correct front shape, and the action you require. You could also make a relay circuit, using the two momentary contact aerial up/down switches, to give you a switch on switch off effect. ie. up switch for neon 'on' and down switch for neon 'off'.

I pulled the switch apart (old one in shed) yesterday and you would have to cut the slot for the switches to fit. Bit of fiddling around but I see no reason for it not to work.

The left switch block has 3 on/off switches in it. Interia light, rear demister....
Get one of these switch blocks with a stuffed wiper control and use the switches out of that.
