Will a VQ Statesman L3 cluster work in a VP?

As the title suggests, will a VQ Statesman level 3 cluster work in a VP? Im aware that VR/VS ones dont so are the VQ ones the same?

yes all the same but you can put the level 3 cluster in it will work as long as its for a v8 but the digital display wont work and too make that work i think you will have find a wreck stato or any commodore with the level 3 cluster and get all the wiring for the trip computer and the little plug that sits at the bottom of the level 3 cluster that makes the digital display work

you've got a 5ltr so its ll good... just make sure you check the PCB in case they dont fit... they should

Thanks for help so far. Ive been told that by fitting a VR/VS cluster into a VN/VP you will cause a fire due to different wiring or something like that. Will i have that same issue with a VQ cluster? Thanks.

Pull both clusters out and read the PCB's.. THey have a map and connecter key so you can just compare the 2, if they have the same current connectors (123) then your good, if some wires vary then it may be a cut and shut job for you... they should be the smae but IM only guessing... just read the PCB's.. its NOT hard at all mate.

installed a VQ dash into a VP executive a few weeks ago. had a few problems. youve gotta rewire connector 1, and the wiring for the switchblock is a little different due to the stato having a BCM and the VP exec not having one
