hey of late ive noticed that my headlights and high beam are really dull and i duno wot the go is? would new bulbs or anything fix the probs?
you can try new baulbs but i doubt that is the problem... the silver reflecting metal inside the lights get dull so they dont reflect as good
Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!
get the halogens like i have, but they are only avaialbe for driving lights, high beam are the normal yellow ones!
Al3x
Mines just faster cos its Red
yeh i had those in my vl but they looked stupid when i had high beam on because they were 2 different colour lights
Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!
get some Narva +50's globes or the narva artic blue if you want a more intense white light. if your very carefull you can remove the lense from the headlight unit and give the reflectice surface a wipe with a dry cloth with no solvents etc

ive heard of ppl respraying them with chrome paint. whats that like?
dunno that chrome paint would get it to the reflectivity of the old coating, i'm pretty sure holden still sell fittings, but they're horrifically expensive.
you could try to find a decent set from a wreckers, i had no luck when i checked, they were all as faded as mine, i also bought an aftermarket fixture which was ghetto, all the parts were pretty substandard, and nothing lined up (couldn't even get my indicator back in) but give it a shot, there's gotta be some good aftermarket ones out there.
if u r handy with a volt meter check the voltage at the headlamp sockets... it should be close to batt voltage ~13.5v. dull lights are sometimes caused by a bad earth.
