melted stereo fuse help please

helllllllllllllllllpppppppppppppppp my mate wired my stereo in my vp 5 lt and the radio fuse under the dash melted and fuse holder so did the wires behinde the stereo the black and grey and the orange and grey but all eles works bar dash lights and parkers,can anyone tell me what he has done.thanks pissed offfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff

The black wire will be an earth, might be same earth for dash lights and park lights. My advice, rip it all out and replace it. Not worth a fire.......

i probably wouldn't let your mate near your stero again..

one of the wires is for the stereo illumination if you hook that to the earth on the stereo it blows the fuzes and it will still work. its the brown wire with the white trace.. change that to the black wire
the reason the speaker wires melted is they were acting as an earth
