    Default VN commodore cuts out

Hi,I've been having trouble with my VN If I cruise around at very low revs no problem. Frequently though say every 5 to 10 times when I try to accelerate even moderately hard she cuts out and I have to stop and turn it off before it will start again. She can also be a bitch to first start. I put into the workshop and they said crankshaft sensor replaced it and said it was fine (obviously didn't give it much of a road test. I've checked the fault codes and after clearing cranshaft sensor, MAP and temp faults despite still getting cut outs I now show code 12 no fault. Oh wise and noble VN lovers what is going on?!!

Could be the ECU, DFI or any connection to do with them. (also the fuel pump too.)

Have you replace the plug leads/plugs?

Sounds like my old white one was doing right before the fuel pump died. That'd be my bet.

Or, your fuel filter could need replacing.

    Thanks for the replies

I have looked at the leads and they seem fine. I mean the thing stops dead as if it was switched off no cough or splutter.

I'll check the fuel pump pressure tomorrow and hope thats it.

    Ok

Replaced the fuel filter, checked fuel pump pressure, checked map sensor, checked throttle position sensor, checked relays, tried another computer and it still does it. Going for EFI unit tomorrow, going for a beer now.
