Default How to remove rocker cover paint

Does anybody know what i can use to get rid of the paint on the rocker covers for a vn series 1, the rocker covers are aliminium and i was just going to soak it in turps or something but i am not sure if that will work or not.

soak them in liquid pool chlorine, the paint will fall off, wash in clear water after paint has been removed.

Oh and becarefull too liquid chlorine melts the human skin.

yeh, vs are a plastic kind of cover, only vn s1 were aluminum, and one side has a hole thats gotta be welded up on the oil cap side to be used on a vs.

just some paint stripper will get the paint off the vn ones and a bit of polishing to make em look good.

edit: didnt see the "vn series 1" bit wen i posted

yeh, would pay to clearcoat em.

the hole is pretty easy to spot if you've got em sitting there. its the hole that faces the intake manifold, between the 2 indents for the bolts.

If you clear coat them it will go yellowish in the heat of the engine bay, in theory anyway
