VN Series 2 Air Con Faults/Mods

Hi Guy i see that you seem to know your stuff with AC so have a few Qs!

• First the system dont work at all the compressor doest not turn on ans have found may faults and repaired like fuse and switch unpluged. Now the fuse was melted and blown is this common. As the switch was unpluged it makes me think there is a problem.

• If its needs the gas topped up or changed etc is there a way of telling? i know there is a pressure switch that can turn the system off can i check that?

Also i want to modify the the condencer so i can sit my intercooler back further. If i tig weld the pipes that should be ok?
