this has probably been asked a million times befor what is the difference between the vn ss and vp ss computers for an auto, i know the computers are the same and i also know that all 4 are tuned different but i cant see myself why they all wouldnt work, untill a wrecker told me that the car will run lean or rich if i put the wrong one in is this true??
also is there any mecanical difference between the vn and vp auto?? maybe different oxy sensor or fuel pump if anyone know plz let me no coz i can get an auto vp computer pritty cheap tommorow i wanna no if i will have any problems running it on my auto vn. thanks.
13.3 1/4 exhaust only untuned!
I'm running a VQ SV90 computer (auto) in my VP 5L 5 speed (yes manual). I really don't think there is any difference, just a way for wreckers to make more money cause its 'manual so its rare'

The VR is where it becomes important to have the right tune as the auto was electroncially controlled by the ECU.
Beau Duke: Man, I'm never gonna get outta this car again. I'm gonna live in it, I'm gonna eat in it and I'm gonna make sweet love to it!
Luke Duke: You mean you're gonna make sweet love IN it.
Beau Duke: Oh no, I'm gonna have sex with it.

the ECM is the same, the memcals have slightly different tunes from VN to VP & VP has a specific manual tune, in some cases, SS is no different in any model
