    Default vr into vp

    hey guys just wondering would a vr engine bolt straight onto my vp s2 auto.

    sure would, its pretty much the same engine (both buick)

    even the VS -VP would bolt up to your Turbo700
    as for engine, run a VR manual tune as the gear box is cable driven and the VR auto box's are electronic

    apart from that its VERY similar to your engine just have semi rocker rollers and minor changes hope that helps ya!

    at first glance at the title i throught you ran a VR into a VP :P

    Would a VR engine run better with the t700 then a VP engine in a VP??.

    yeah thats what i was a bit sus about, the vr having the electronic gearbox. so tune it as a manual.

    The VR engine STOCK wont better than the stock VP engine if its in a VP, unless you use a more agressive tune I think (greenfoams area )

    But the VR engine is not as reliable as the VP. It has a few issues the VP did not and in my opinion, most of the changes made were for the worse.

    Mate had a VR berlina, It was loud..
    I got a couple of options as i belive me Ecotec engine days seem gone
    VP engine rebuilt 04 $750.. VR Engine rebuilt 05 $950.
    Then i'm thinking SC14 going on ebay pretty cheap.
