    Default steering wheel vq

    hi all, is there any vq owners out there that could tell me how to get the steering wheel of my statesman vq?? i wouldnt know where to start i tried pulling the horn pad off and look for screws but its got me effed where they r?? so any help would be beautifull, thanks guys.. p.s i searched for the answers all over this forum but couldnt find any hence the new post

    The horn pad should just pull off.It is held in by 4 pins.Then just remove the bolt and belt the crap out of it.

    ok the 22mm nut on the steering shaft has to be undone level with the shaft so when you hit it, it doesn't root the thread....

    anyway undo the nut, pull back as hard as you can on the steering wheel and get someone to give it a few quick hits and it usually hits that nut which just saved your face

    so all i have to do is pull the horn pad thing and it will come off?? and then attack the nut and the wheel itself?? thanks guys for ur help btw what do you think of this steering wheel ?? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....2663&rd=1&rd=1 and does any1 know where to get a alloy billet boss kit??

    yeh horn pad off, earth connector unclipped, 22mm nut undone even with end of thread, pull back and give it a smack.

    What are you doing with the old wheel?Ive got a VP Calais wheel on mine but want a stock one for a spare.
