    Default power steering leak

    having a new problem with my car. last night the entire power steering reservoir leaked onto the road as it was parked. the leak is coming from the bottom of the motor. anyone fixed this before?

    1995 Manual HSV Clubsport

    your in luck mate, sounds like you either have busted power steering hose, your rack is busted, maybe even the pump. i just replaced all of them myself, its not that hard to do.

    took it round to where tim (VN Calais 5.0) works and he managed to fix it. low pressure hose was damaged so its all fixed now. even found a few other problems that ill need to fix soon

    haha nah. the extractors were touching the hose so that kind of messed it up

    good power steering fluid will do more for you than a cooler, as quality products lubricate better and have a higher film strength at temperature

    Have you guys or girls, ever touched the power steering reservoir after a decent drive? The heat that is thrown out is amazing, i'd just finished putting a cooler on the PS and now a waiting on my next big drive to feel the difference.
