changing diff centers

im thinking about changing the diff center in my vn, i just wanted to know if i need to measure up the new center and get new spacers for it or if it will just be a straight swap.

ive had people telling me that if i just do a straight swap using the old spacers that i could stuff up the gears. but other people tell me i can just do a straight swap....

when changing diff centers you need to set the backlash correctly with shim spacer otherwise the life of the diff will be reduced. if oyur not familiar with this procedure it better to get it done profesionally. this way you also get some sort of warranty
