Gday and oil volume

hey all, first post here.

um i cant find my manual so im just wondering, i just did an oil change on my vn and was wondering the volume of oil it should take, its up to full on my dipstick but i wasnt payin attention to the volume i put in it. any guidence would be cool,

it takes 4.3 ltrs of oil incluiding filter
but if the sump is punched in like most of the ones ive seen id only put four liters in it and run it then check it
