Hello all,
I put my new motor in the car, changed everything to new parts (including the CAS) and the dame thing has no ignition. I have checked they wiring, changed DFI, CAS (and adjusted), checked leads, spark plugs, ecu, fuses and relays. And still nothing in the spark department
. I bet it is something stupid that i have missed, or it could be serious. Any ideas? Before i burn the it to the ground. It does turn over nicely though.
dose it have an immobiliser on it?
Stato on the inside, berlina on the out side,5ltr under the bonnet, stockies all round...........that thing has to be a sleeper

Yes. But i by passed that. It was one of the first things i did as they tend to do shit like that. I did all the work myself, i don't really want to call an auto elec to finish the job to get it running![]()
Almost looks like you're ****ed then. You may just have to rip down the road and grab some matches and 20l of petrol.......... Failing that, are you 100% sure its not a fuel issue? You are certain its not getting spark?
I am sure, pulled a spark plug to see and nothing. I am going to go through all the wiring diagrams i have to see if any thing looks wrong. Plenty of fuel in the system, good pressure, has new pump, filter and injectors. ( i work for covenrtys so parts aren't hard to get thankgod). It did start once after the install, but ran rough, died and hasn't started since. Codes say everthing is fine.![]()
You didnt mention whether or not you had done the coil packs aswell?
Yes those as well (they come as a kit this days)
You could convert it to diesel and never have to worry about spark again? Or, I would imagine you have checked to make sure the ECU is powering up when you turn the key or whatever? What about the signal the ECU sends out to your ignition system?
How would i check those.
Here is a pretty handy site... (http://www.techedge.com.au/vehicle/aldl160/vn_aldl.htm) to get the codes you bridge terminals A and B with a wire link and the "check engine" lamp on the dashboard flashes the code. the connector is behind (above? - cant recall) the plastic panel in the front passengers side footwell. cheers.
