wire harneses question

today i put my motor in and wired up my harnes from new motor(vq s2) into my 1990 vn ss and there are 4 plugs where the computer is. 2 of them are for the computer and there are another 2 and one of them dosent match with the plug on my car it is the small plug with 6 wires (i think) that dosent work anyone know what it does??

everything in the car that i have tryed works but i didnt test much as i just got the motor in at 11pm and that was the last of my wories because it didnt start which i think is starter motor related and also the fuel pump is pumping fuel onto the ground

hmmm that sounds like the diagnostic plug.... which is not normally connected to anything untill you plug the diagnostic console into it. note that this link also has the diagnostic codes and how to interrogate the ecu.....

yer that seems like the one, same number or pins and shape although there different colours. in case anyone wondering got it running . V8 with no exaust .

yer!!!!! sounds good nice deep note too untill u back off then get a bit of backfire as computer is not tuned to not run exaust my mum got scared when it started from the house which is 100m from shed
