    Question Cant find diagnostic plug, timing problem

    Hey guys, trying to set timing, but manual says i need to earth diagnosic plug to get correct reading, problem is I cant find it... Manual says its left hand side under bonnet buts its not there, Ride is Rare VP 5 speed factory manual 5L V8
    HELP Plus Ill send a 6pack of vb cans to best helper...

    Its in the passenger side foot well above the kick panel. Sometimes (like mine) it is behind the kick panel so you will have to get it out. Use a flat blade screw driver to prise the rubber trim out of the sill cover. Then lever the kick panel from underneath the sill and remove it to find the plug.

    have a look at this website. short the A & B terminals and then you can read the codes on the check engine light on the cluster.... cheers peter

    from mem black and black white wires just so you actually know which ones
    i did it the other day as i have about 7 times on mine the past month
