Water pump spacer plate wear

Hi All

Removed my old water pump today to get ready for the new pump that should arrive tomorrow or Wednesday ($40 brand new on Ebay with 12 month warranty) and noticed that the spacer plate has grooves on the left hand side (facing the engine from the front) from where the old pumps vanes were obviously hitting

Is it worth replacing the spacer plate at the same time or is this wear going to be ok for the moment (sorry bout the dodgy pic)
