    Default very loose front end????

my VP is driving like an absolute pig at the moment i took it to have 2 rear tyres put on it and i had lost my lock nut key so the tyre place smashed my lock nuts off all four wheels when i was on my way home about 15minutes away from the tyre place my car started driving like shit it's really loose and floats all over the place when i jacked it up there was a fair bit of play in my wheel bearings so i replaced them but it's no better... and being the xmas break i can't take it back to get them to look at it... does anybody have any ideas what i should check next i really don't want to be without a car till somewhere opens for me to take it to and i'm really worried about driving it????

check all the suspension parts you can. I had loose torsion bars or something like that and my bushes were stuffed but it wasn't noticeable till I got new tyres.
Maybe someone here who knows more can give you better & more detailed advice than me.

Check the load rating on the tyre's and the placard, one of my mates had the wrong 18's on his car once and he swears that's was the prob. Other than that alls i can suggest is check the wheel nuts r tight, tyre pressure and shocks

check the sway bars man, dont ask me why but some mechanics are idiots and touch things they dont need to and forget to bolt them back up tightly

other than that check steering rack, my parents snapped one in their vn ages ago... at 95km/h rolled straight off the road luckily brakes worked :P didnt hit anything

Yeah make sure the wheel nuts are on properly
They may have damaged the steering "smashing" the lock nuts off?
Either way, get the car up on stands and get under there to check everything is tight and nothing is obviously damaged.

Then take it in to a suspension place or back to the other workshop and get them to check their work.

MMMM they busted something. Other thing is a missing balance weights. If one has been knocked a bit while laying into the lock nuts they may have hit the weight and when you drove off it went for a holiday. Then car drives like shit.
